Tim Sands From Pinnacle, NC, plays the guitar and sings lead vocals. As a little boy, he learned how to play the guitar and banjo from his father and has been picking ever since. Tim is instrumental in arranging most of the band's songs. He also writes some of NOTA's original material. |

Mark Thomas As far as five string banjo pickers are concerned, Mark, from Mt. Airy, NC is one of the area's best kept secrets. When it comes to bluegrass, he is the real deal. Mark also backs up Tim's vocals with a high tenor. He has been immersed in traditional music since an early age and loves the hard-driving bluegrass sound. |

David Crawford Also from Mt. Airy, David Crawford, adds a unique mandolin playing style that fits well with the group. He will often pull double duty by playing the mandolin and fiddle. He is a great songwrite and with a strong singing voice, David provides some great harmony and sings lead on at least a few songs each set.

Tim Harrison Provides the fundamental support for the band with his solid bass playing and tremendous sense of rhythm. From Yadkinville, NC. Tim got his musical start with the piano and brass instruments at an early age. With his dad's influence, he began playing bluegrass at age 18 and has never turned back. Tim also has a solid baritone voice that helps blend the vocals for three-part harmony. |

Mike Wigal from Greensboro, NC. He is a talented fiddler who fills out the sound of the group very well. He also plays the piano and has been involved with all types of music such as country, rock and jazz. He still plays with the group from time to time. |
Raised in
Independence, VA, Roger Stamper is, by far, one of the finest fiddle players in the North
Carolina / Virginia area. He has been playing the fiddle and performing since the age of
six. His dad, an old-time fiddle player in his 80's, has taught him everything he knows
about fiddle music. His hard work and dedication to the traditional arts has definitely
paid off. Roger currently resides in Mt. Airy and plays old-time bluegrass music. |

Charlie "Wichita" Wagoner, a retired teacher also from Mt. Airy, played with the group for several years. His traditional roots left a lasting impact on NOTA. He has played with several different bands & has had countless performances during his musical career. |
