Mark Thomas

As far as five string banjo pickers are concerned, Mark, from Mt. Airy, NC is one of the area's best kept secrets. When it comes to bluegrass, he is the real deal. Mark also backs up Tim's vocals with a high tenor. He has been immersed in traditional music since an early age and loves the hard-driving bluegrass sound.

David Crawford

Also from Mt. Airy,  David Crawford, adds a unique mandolin playing style that fits well with the group. He will often pull double duty by playing the mandolin and fiddle.  He is a great songwrite and with a strong singing voice, David provides some great harmony and sings lead on at least a few songs each set.

Tim Harrison

Tim Harrison

Roger StamperRaised in Independence, VA, Roger Stamper is, by far, one of the finest fiddle players in the North Carolina / Virginia area. He has been playing the fiddle and performing since the age of six. His dad, an old-time fiddle player in his 80's, has taught him everything he knows about fiddle music. His hard work and dedication to the traditional arts has definitely paid off. Roger currently resides in Mt. Airy and plays old-time bluegrass music.
Charlie Wagoner Charlie "Wichita" Wagoner, a retired teacher also from Mt. Airy, played with the group for several years.  His traditional roots left a lasting impact on NOTA.  He has played with several different bands & has had countless performances during his musical career.
